Exercise Of The Month: Downward Dog!


This versatile exercise can be done as a stretch, a restorative pose, or it can be used as a transition to more difficult exercises. Downward Dog is in honor of Stress Awareness Month. Take some time to try this exercise and still your mind to help you find balance in your life. Remember deep breaths as you sink into this position.

Exercise of the Month: Triceps Dips


This body weight exercise can be as easy or as difficult as you want and they are greatly underappreciated. This predominant triceps exercise will strengthen the stabilizing muscles around your shoulders which will help to reduce the risk of injury to your shoulder joint and it will help create symmetry to the body.

Exercise of the Month: Hamstring Curls on a Swiss Ball


This challenging and underrated exercise is very good at engaging your entire back side of your body. It focuses on strengthening the hamstrings, glutes, lower/mid back to help create balance in your usually front strong body. This exercise can help to reduce or eliminate back pain if done properly and it helps to strengthen your core by bringing balance work into the mix. Happy Holidays!

Just a few reminders as we move into the holidays: The facility will be unstaffed from December 24th to January 2nd. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the facility please email brasmussen-thorson@livnorth.com. There will be no classes between December 23rd and January 2nd.
